Meet the Team
Meet the faces behind the pen name and publishing company. J Evan Baker is an award-winning author who enjoys writing books for all of his children. Whitney is the creative director, and supports with business development and marketing. Evan and Whitney have four children (Lydia, Piper, Selah, and Max) and a dog (Samson). They live in a small town in Missouri (USA). Evan is in the finance industry and Whitney is an educator.

Our son Max was the inspiration behind the Marvelous Maximus series. Max was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis when he was 2 months old, and he had a surgery at 4 months old to repair this condition. Part of his treatment after the surgery included wearing a cranial helmet for 23 hours a day until age 1. He was an absolute warrior and we are so proud of him! He reminded us that God provides strength in every trial we endure in life.

Jaclyn Kidd
Jaclyn Kidd is an illustrator and graphic designer who loves bringing stories to life with colorful, meaningful art. She earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Missouri Southern State University and believes in using creativity as a force for good. Through Jaclyn Kidd Design, she creates thoughtful designs that spark imagination and share important stories.
When she’s not drawing, Jaclyn enjoys photography, finding inspiration in everyday moments, and dreaming up her next creative adventure.
